Core Beliefs
The Bible
The Bible is God’s holy word, and it is completely true, authoritative and sufficient.
The Trinity
There is but one living and true God, one in essence, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each equally deserving worship and obedience.
Human sinfulness
All human beings are, by birth and action, sinners and are in rebellion against God.
Penalty for Sin
The penalty for sin is eternal death (both physical and spiritual) and separation from God for all eternity in hell.
The Nature of Christ
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, was born of a virgin, performed miracles, and is both fully God and fully human, yet without sin.
The Cross of Christ
Jesus Christ died on the cross as a substitute to pay the penalty of sin.
The Resurrection of Christ
Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead and ascended into heaven.
The Return of Christ
Jesus Christ will return at the Second Coming to judge the living and the dead, the redeemed to eternal life with Him, the unredeemed to eternal damnation in hell.
Faith in Christ
Only by trusting in the person and work of Jesus Christ alone can a person be reconciled to God and experience true life and joy.
Human Sexuality
God instituted the martial relationship to be between one man and one woman and to be the only proper context for sexual relations. Gender is ordained by God and cannot be changed or altered by human will
Pastoral Leadership
God has ordained that spiritually qualified men should provide leadership to the church in the office of pastors.
